On December 19, 2020 I took an easy, relaxed hike. Halfway into my intended hike, I heard the howls, hoots, and yelps of a group of coyotes high up on the ridge. It was a beautiful night and I think they were just celebrating, but I decided that maybe I should head on home and not risk becoming dinner.
