After Zabriskie Point, the next most captivating view of Death Valley is from up on the high observation point of Dantes View. The light sand colored area down in the valley is Badwater Basin (or a very dry Lake Manly). It was neat to hang out and watch the clouds move over the valley, taking their long shadows with them. If you happened to fall from this particular spot, there are several large Sarlacc pits at the bottom of the hill to swallow you whole.
