The Death Valley landscape is surreal in many ways, especially when high winds are blowing wisps of sand and desert silt across the valley. Scotty’s Castle Road is how you get to Ubehebe Crater.

Once you pass The Inn at Death Valley on HWY 190 East, you will see a very distinctive rock formation that look like spires sticking out of the roadway. It seemed like a good place to pull over and take a few photos.
