Peru and Inca Trail April 2015

April 15-26, 2015 – A group of eight guys went on a trip to Peru. We started in Lima and then flew to Puerto Maldonado airport and visited the Peruvian Amazon rainforest region at Tambopata EcoLodge. From there we went to Cusco, a city at over 11,000 feet (3400 meters) elevation. From Cusco, we had a day trip to Ollantaytambo and a few other sites. Then we began the 4-day hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. It was quite a journey. I hope you enjoy my snapshots from this trip.

Note: These were all shot on an Olympus TG-850 travel camera and the color was flat in my test images. So, I defaulted to the color pop setting for most of the trip and they came out sort of Technicolor. Most of my editing work before publishing was to tone down the saturation and brightness of many elements. Sorry if some of it seems a tad bright, but overall Peru was radiating bright color and vibrancy in its environment and culture, so the color pop setting helps to preserve that excitement.
